The Vikos Canyon, the river Voidomatis, Gamila, the Refuge of Astraka, Smolikas, the villages of Zagoria in combination with hospitality, a smile, good taste, pride and vivacity of the people who live in the area, were the main reasons for turning his hobby on trekking into his main profession.
These kilometers brought him knowledge and experience and after one decade of walking around the Greek nature, Thanasis built up Walking Holidays which is part of Alternative Forms of Tourism and based in Central Greece.
