  You are in a very “safe pair of hands” with Thanasis and Walking Holidays Greece. Bring reasonable fitness, strong walking shoes, poles, a sense of adventure and a very big appetite and you will be guaranteed to have a wonderful time. Only one week before our planned walk as a group of 8 friends, the unprecedented flooding of the Pelion region occurred. Within a few days, Thanasis had worked out where was safe to travel, what parts of the original itinerary could be achieved, adjusted for a rapidly changing situation with road closures, and then came up with an amazing alternative experience that was everything we could have hoped for. His local knowledge, driving skills, passion for food and mainland Greece in general was evident throughout our trip. Thanasis was also able to accommodate different interests within our group and fit in extra things of interest without compromising the overall plan. Although we had visited Greece several times before, we saw a whole new side to Greece that was previously unknown to us. The walks were challenging, varied and beautiful. The accomodation was excellent, food amazing and plentiful, and Thanasis was able to answer so many questions on history, flora, fauna, food etc. Twice we were really pleased to see Thanasis use young, enthusiastic local guides as a way of supporting young people passionate about their area and staying to work within it (Meteora and Vikos Gorge) - this was also a wonderful innovation which we really enjoyed. In addition, two of us stayed a 2nd week just with our 90 year old father/-in-law and Thanasis created another fantastic experience that fitted in with the challenges of less mobility but a desire to see things and still be able to do some short walks. All in all, 10 out of 10 - we would not hesitate to recommend and hope to come back again.

  Ich kann diese kleine Wanderreiseagentur sehr empfehlen. Ich hatte die 7-Tage lange Vikos-Tour Anfang Juni gebucht und war total begeistert: Tolle Routen in spektakulären Landschaften, geführt von einem erfahrenen Wanderführer, der alles über Flora und Fauna wusste, sehr schöne Unterkünfte in idyllischen Dörfern und mit sympathischen Gastgeber, die uns lecker bekocht haben. Alles war gut organisiert, aber trotzdem entspannt. Ein außergewöhnlich schöner Urlaub!!

  Once again, a trip with Thanasis. This time exploring Peloponnes. Vouraikos gorge, Lousios gorge and Mani with Cape Tenaro. It is always a pleasure - The walks, the places, the Food(+++), the small hotels and the company, can`t be better. So, hopefully see you again.

  This was by far the highlight of my trip to Europe. Thanasis organised everything perfectly! There was never a dull moment, and he is great company and a very knowledgeable guide. He went the extra mile with everything that he did whether it be overhearing me and my friend talking about what we wanted for dinner and he would go ahead and order for us, telling us which plants were poisonous or just general knowledge about history or the area we were in. One massive thing that stood out for me was how kind he was, he knew it was my birthday and organised a cake and sung happy birthday and everything! The walks were amazing, the food was amazing, the whole experience was amazing. Anyone looking for something different and to see the real Greece I would highly recommend doing this tour.

  Last April we traveled 3 pairs of friends 7 days around Greece with the charming guide Thanasis. Apart from the fact that he brought us to particularly beautiful places, he turned out to be a kind, modest, calm man with a lot of knowledge and explanation everywhere.   We have spent, recently, 9 wonderful days with Thanasis Pantes, in upper Greece and it was a trip to be remembered forever. Not only we were taken to the most exciting spots and cites, but got the best food ever, shown "behind the scene" places, hotels that were cosy, clean and sereved great authentic Greek breakfast, and best of all - a wonderful guide!! Thanasis took care of each request, made a group of 10 people feel that each of them is significant, and all our needs were met with patience and good will.   We have just returned from a 9 day trip with Thanasis in Greece.We had the most enjoyable time and found him to be oustanding in evey respect His english is good, has a great sense of humour,is amazingly knowlageable and is an extremely safe driver.   We just finished a tour of Northern Greek 13-22.9.2016 with Thanasis Pantes and we had a wonderful time. Thanasis is friendly and flexible as well as knowledgeable. Our group of friends thoroughly enjoyed his presence and guidance on the trip. Especially we enjoyed the amazing meals, which illustrate the variety of the famous Greek culinary tastes.
