  We walked the NE Pelion with Thanasis and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanasis is an excellent guide and a fountain of knowledge. The accommodation is varied with some better than others but all acceptable. The Triantafillies guest house at the end of the trip is beautiful. The food was all excellent and having Thanasis to advise, select and double-check with the kitchen was a huge benefit. His enthusiasm for his country and its food are infectious. We would recommend this trip without reservation.

  I was in Greece 2 times and both them we trusted Thanasis to take care of our group from 12 people. At first we didn't expect so much for something unknown in Greece, but at the end of each day we get something extraordinary: We saw truly undiscovered Greece nature, we felt in love for Greek cuisine, cause Thanasis all the time turned us into special and cozy places were only locals are going to have great dinners. we still remember these tasty Lamb chops and chipura as well:). Gods drink. yea. Thanasis is a great guide, who knows history, knows the places, very correct speaking and communicating with people and it makes feel comfortly. We'll get back definitely, Thanasis. !!!

  I really enjoyed the walk in Pindos last year. Everything was perfectly organized, nice lodging, great food (don't expect to loose kilos), and a great guide, happy to share time with us. It was like walking with a friend. So this year I decided to go to Pelion, and I deeply hope that Thanasis will soon organize a lot of walk in different places.

  We have enjoyed four memorable trips with Thanasis and are looking forward to our fifth trip this year. We always found him cheerful and to be adaptable to uncontrollable issues like weather so that we always seemed to get more from the trips than we expected. The food is delicious (let Thanasis choose) and the accommodation selected for comfort and opportunity to experience local significance. The areas selected for the walks have stunning scenic and historic interest making the whole trip a very pleasant experience.

  June last year I decided to spend some weeks in Greece, travelling on my own, and to places I did not visit before. End of the trip I wanted to make a trekking-tour in Zagoria and found Walking Holidays on internet. I liked this program, based on small groups, very much, and made a reservation. I had a great trip, starting in Meteora, and then the next days in beautiful Pindos. Everything well organized in a way I appreciate very much. The guide, the food, the small hotels, it could not be better. I always felt like a friend. This year I will make a new trip with Thanasis, and look forward to be back.

  At the end of October 2015 I made a trip of 8 days, with another 6 members, throughout Greece with the guide Thanasis. First of all, we met a guide he's a human being. Pleasant, modest, relaxed, knowledgeable and explains everywhere. The Hotels that he arranged for us were extraordinary, beautiful boutique hotels. He arranged for us meals at a local taverns. Thanasis took us to places that usually Excursions does not reach them. He took us to places that were not even plan in the trip, and didn't take any payment. The payment for the trip was less than all the trips I made in Greece. The trip was perfect and I have just warm words to say Thanasis and lots of thanks! I warmly recommend the tours with Thanasis !!! Yehuda

  I have visited Greece several times. The first time in May 2002 to the north of Greece and the last time was in October 2014 combined with Albania. All trips were organized together with Thanasis Pantes from Walking Holidays. For example, the photography tour to Meteora Pelion was simply great. We stayed in nice comfortable hotels and the food, a very important part of the trip (at least for me), was excellent. A piece of advise: When you go for dinner, let Thanasis order for you, you won\'t regret it. The trips we did with Walking Holidays were always in comfortable small groups 6-12 people so we always had enough time and there was no pressure to hurry up like with some large groups. This is very important if you are a photographer and need the little extra time to get the shot. Thanasis and the other guides we had were always knowledgeable and easy-going.
